Michelle gilded her leftover jack-o-lantern pumpkins with gold, bronze and brass metallic paints.. Great way to extend the look of your pumpkins after Halloween.
This is a teepee Michelle made. She has a teepee trading post set up for the kids on Thanksgiving. The children can earn tokens by eating all of their turkey dinner and veggies. They can take their tokens and go spend it at the Indian Trading Post. There is even a picture of her Indian Grandmother. We demonstrated cute packaging ideas for giving the gift of food.

MAYFLOWER BOATS
Use heavy stiff felt to make the boats. I just hot glued mine together and then used orange thread to whipstitch the sides. You can find your a similar pattern at http://news.holidash.com/2009/10/26/kids-table-centerpiece/ I made mine just straight across at the top.
For the mast...I used a bamboo skewer and printed each childs name on the sail.
I used these for Columbus Day too and had a discovery dinner for my kids. They had to try and discover new foods.
Peppermint Snow Flake Cookie Mold
Super easy gift to make. Choose a sturdy cookie cutter. Melt chocolate. I find its easiest to melt the chips right in a piping bag and then snip the tip once it is melted and pipe into the cookie cutter. Let harden. You can place in freezer for a few minutes to speed up the process. Then repeat the melting process with peppermint candy melts by Wilton. Pipe ont op of chocolate layer. While still wet...add crushed candy cane on top for decor. Let harden. you can give the gift directly in the cookie cutter.
Dipped Strawberries in Basket
Now this picture shows goodies in the basket. We changed ours to dipped strawberries.
Berry baskets can be found in a package of 10 at Zurchers. Tips on dipping strawberries....DON'T wash the berries...just brush them off with a pastry brush. Otherwise they start to decay and make dipping harder.

Cake Platter
Turn a cookie tin upside down. Add a knob on the top. Place cake on cardboard circle the size of the inside of the tin. It helps to keep the cake from sliding around. You can add little wooden feet to the bottom too.
